somewhere, over the weekend

so over the weekend i babysat my neice and nephew and took them to target. my niece got a peasant top and jean shorts, and my nephew got an iron man toy. and i got this adorable stuffed owl. i think it resembles my cat.

we also got ice cream.

and i started working on this painting. i have an appointment with mutual of omaha today to do an interview for their "aha moments" campaign. they asked me to bring a prop of some kind that represented my aha moment, and i couldnt think of anything, so i decided to make one. it's not done yet. in fact, i better go finish it right now! time is' a wastin'!

surprise!

i'm really looiking forward to the gift swap hosted by melissa at oh my darling. it's based on the idea of these "suprise balls" made my Gina Namkung.

if you would like to enter, sign up here! registration ends july 22nd. i think it's gunna be super fun! :D suprise balls are awesome because they are filled with little treasures; the kinds of things you find at find here and there and hold on to, just because you think they're kind of special. and they're wrapped in pretty ribbons, and tissue and crepe paper. i saw these (i think at design*sponge) a few months ago, and thought they were pretty awesome. now i can make one, AND recieve one! too cool!
